The Wiikwemkoong Arts and Music Festival was founded in 2018 by the Debajehmujig Theatre Group and has enjoyed success by allowing emerging local artists to share the same stage as professional and international artists. While music is the big ticket event, our festival presents a fine selection various disciplines of displays that connect arts, culture, and promotes unity, allyship and the celebration of life through art!

The 6th annual Wiikwemkoong Arts and Music Festival (WAMF) is excited to announce featured headliners Jully Black, Crystal Shawanda and Don Burnstick for 2023!

The addition of WAMF to the Wiikwemkoong Annual Cultural Festival (WACF) kicks off four days of cultural and artistic offerings, with an evening of top-notch entertainment. Indigenous icon, Don Burnstick, will bless the stage with his unique brand of comedy, and Wiikwemkoong’s own Juno award winner, Crystal Shawanda, will ignite the crowd with her rhythmic grooves. This year’s highlight is a headline performance by Canada’s ‘Queen of R&B Soul,’ the amazing Jully Black.
